One of my favorite things to do is to visit art museums to sample the jewelry in statuary and paintings. There are few better places to do this than at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York.
The Rubin has an amazing collection of Himalayan and Buddhist art, which I always appreciate for the diverse types of adornment—bold, flowering necklaces, armbands, and impossibly heavy earrings.
